選票，看似只是一張小小的紙，卻代表著每一位公民的聲音、權利與責任。

民主社會最珍貴的地方，就是人民可以透過選舉，選出自己信任的領導者，表達對公共政策的支持或反對，並共同決定社區、城市、州與國家的未來方向。

每一張選票都很重要。

不要因為認為自己的一票力量太小，而放棄投票；也不要因為工作繁忙、生活瑣事或對政治失望，而讓別人替我們決定未來。許多重要的選舉，最後的勝負往往只差幾百票、幾十票，甚至只有一票。

投票不只是選擇一位候選人，更是在選擇我們所重視的價值，包括經濟發展、教育品質、公共安全、醫療服務、移民政策、社區建設，以及下一代的生活環境。

在投票之前，我們應該認真了解候選人的背景、能力、政見與誠信，不受謠言影響，不被情緒操縱，更不能讓族群、偏見或仇恨左右自己的判斷。

我們需要的是能夠團結社會、服務人民、促進經濟、維護安全，並真正關心各族裔社區的公共領導者。

亞裔社區多年來努力工作、繳納稅款、創造就業、培養人才，為美國社會作出了重要貢獻。我們不僅要在經濟上成功，更應該在公共事務中積極發聲。

當更多華裔與亞裔選民登記投票、參與選舉、關心政策，我們的聲音才會被聽見，我們的權益才會受到重視，我們的下一代才會擁有更加公平與光明的未來。

民主不是旁觀者的制度，而是參與者共同建立的成果。

Let Your Vote Shape the Future and Protect Democracy

A ballot may appear to be only a small piece of paper, but it represents the voice, rights, and responsibilities of every citizen.

The greatest strength of a democratic society is that people have the right to choose the leaders they trust, express their support or opposition to public policies, and help determine the future of their community, city, state, and nation.

Every vote matters.

Do not give up your right to vote because you believe one vote is too small to make a difference. Do not allow a busy schedule, daily responsibilities, or disappointment with politics to let others decide your future. Many important elections have been decided by only a few hundred votes, a few dozen votes, or sometimes even a single vote.

Voting is not only about choosing a candidate. It is also about choosing the values and priorities that matter to us, including economic development, quality education, public safety, healthcare, immigration policy, community improvement, and the future living environment of the next generation.

Before casting our ballots, we should carefully examine each candidate’s background, qualifications, policies, integrity, and record of service. We should not be influenced by rumors, manipulated by emotion, or guided by prejudice, division, or hatred.

We need public leaders who can unite society, serve the people, strengthen the economy, protect our communities, and genuinely care about residents of every ethnic and cultural background.

For many years, Asian Americans have worked hard, paid taxes, created jobs, educated future generations, and made important contributions to American society. We must not only achieve success in business and education; we must also participate actively in public affairs and make our voices heard.

When more Chinese American and Asian American voters register, vote, understand public policy, and participate in elections, our voices will be heard, our interests will receive greater attention, and our children and grandchildren will have a more equal and promising future.

Democracy is not a system for spectators. It is built and protected by those who participate.
