GO TEXAN Pavilion Grand Opening At The State Fair Of Texas

Commissioner Sid Miller Leads Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony, Honorary Commissioner Attends Celebration

[Dallas, September 26, 2025] — Bathed in the golden glow of an autumn morning, Fair Park in Dallas came alive with festive cheer as the GO TEXAN Pavilion, hosted by the Texas Department of Agriculture, was officially unveiled. The air rang with joyful music and thunderous applause, marking a proud new chapter for the Lone Star State.

At the opening ceremony, Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller personally presided over the ribbon-cutting. As the golden scissors sliced through the bright red ribbon, the crowd erupted in cheers. In his remarks, Commissioner Miller emphasized:

“The GO TEXAN program is the symbol of the Texas brand. It showcases our agricultural products, our artisanship, and our creativity to the world. Today, we are not just presenting goods—we are presenting the spirit and strength of Texas.”

As Honorary Commissioner, I felt deeply privileged to witness this historic moment. Walking through the pavilion, I was inspired by the rows of products proudly made in Texas—aromatic wines and baked goods, finely crafted artisanal items, and exhibits embodying the enduring spirit of farming and ranching. Each display reflected the richness and diversity nurtured by Texas soil.

The GO TEXAN Pavilion is more than an exhibition; it is a place of exchange and connection. Farmers, food producers, and artisans from across the state gathered here to share their stories and achievements with tens of thousands of visitors. From vineyards to ranches, from kitchens to workshops, every product tells the story of hard work, creativity, and dreams of the people of Texas.

Standing before the pavilion at that moment, a profound sense of pride welled up within me. Texas is not only the land where we live and thrive—it is the heart of our shared identity. To participate in this grand opening as Honorary Commissioner, and to celebrate this achievement together, is an honor I will carry as an unforgettable memory for the rest of my life.
